Herbaceous erect or decumbent, puberulent to pilose, with glandular hairs. Pinnatifid leaves, ovate-oblong leaflets, acute,
dentate, generally lobate. Racemose inflorescence; vactinomorphic flowers; calyx segments lanceolate, pilose-
glandular; corolla yellow 10-16 mm. Globose berry, red when ripe, 1 to 15 cm in diameter.

Lippia graveolens

Thin shrub up to 2 m in height, aromatic, short pilose branches.Leaves oblong to elliptic or ovate to ovate-oblong, 2-4 cm long, usually obtuse or rounded at the apex, rounded or subcordateat the base; densely pilose on the upper side, densely
tomentose and glandular on the underside; finely crenate-edged margins. Flowers in subglobose to oblong spikes 4-12 mm long; white corolla.

Lippia alba

Aromatic shrub, 1 to 2 m high, long wicker branches, decumbent and rooting, densely puberulent or strigose.

Opposite or ternate leaves, briefly petiolate, 2-6 (rarely 9) cm in length and 1.2-4.5 cm wide, oblong, wrinkled, scalloped, covered with short, small hairs and prominent venation. Inflorescences in globular axillary heads, cylindrical in fructification. Bracts ovate, acuminate, lower bracts mucronate. Zygomorphic flowers, calyx 1.5-1.7 mm long and accrescent at maturity; purple corolla with yellow and white jaws, pink or white 4 to 5 mm long. 3 mm wide obovoid fruit.

Lepidium virginicum

Herbaceous, annual, pubescent plant, commonly 20 to 30 cm.
Basal leaves in rosettes, obovate or spatulate, pinnatifid, serrate, those on the stem are lanceolate or oblong-linear. White or whitish-purple flowers in bunches of 30 cm or more, puberulent; petals generally ovate to spatulate. Oval or almost orbicular silicles, glabrous, 3 to 4 mm. Seeds 2 per fruit, orange in colour.
