De acuerdo con la información disponible:

El uso de la flor para bronquitis se clasifica como REC con base en el empleo significativo tradicional documentado en las encuestas TRAMIL, los estudios de validación y de toxicidad.

El uso para debilidad, indigestión (acidez gástrica), neumopatía y tos, se clasifica en la categoría REC con base en el empleo significativo tradicional documentado en las encuestas TRAMIL y los estudios de toxicidad.

Por el riesgo de la bronquitis y la neumopatía para la salud, se recomienda una valoración médica inicial. El uso de este recurso debe ser considerado como complementario al tratamiento médico, salvo contraindicación.

En caso de que se observe un deterioro del paciente o que la bronquitis, la neumopatía y la tos persistan por más de 3 días debe buscar atención médica.

No usar durante el embarazo, la lactancia ni en niños menores de 5 años.

 

Los frutos de Mangifera indica constituyen un alimento de consumo humano relativamente extendido.

Contra bronquitis, neumopatía o tos:

preparar una decocción con 15-20 gramos de hojas o 10 gramos de flores en 4 tazas (1 litro) de agua, hervir por 5 minutos en recipiente tapado. Dejar enfriar, colar (filtrar) y beber 1 taza 3 veces al día26.

Contra debilidad o indigestión:

preparar una infusión, agregando 1 taza (250 mililitros) de agua hirviendo a 4 hojas.

Tapar el recipiente, dejar reposar durante 5 minutos, colar (filtrar) y beber 1 taza 3 veces al día.

Ninguna preparación debe guardarse por más de 24 horas, ni fuera de refrigeración.

De acuerdo con la información disponible:

El uso para diarrea, dolor de estómago, flatulencia, indigestión, gripe, resfriado y vómito se clasifica como REC con base en el empleo significativo tradicional documentado en las encuestas TRAMIL, los estudios de toxicidad y validación.

En los casos de diarrea, se considera este recurso como complementario de la terapia de rehidratación oral.

En caso que se observe un deterioro del paciente (deshidratación, lengua seca, pliegue de la piel persistente, oliguria, llanto sin lágrimas), debe buscar atención médica inmediata. En caso que la diarrea persista por más de 2 días debe buscar atención médica.

En caso que se observe un deterioro del paciente, que el dolor de estómago o que la indigestión persista por más de 3 días, la gripe por más de 7 días o el vómito por más de 2 días, debe buscar atención médica.

Evitar su ingesta en caso de afecciones de vesícula biliar o cálculos10 y en caso de tomar medicamentos con antiácidos o que reducen el pH del estómago, como inhibidores de bomba de protones, debido al riesgo de interacción11.

No usar durante el embarazo, la lactancia ni en niños menores de 5 años.

La hoja de Mentha spicata constituye un condimento de consumo humano relativamente extendido y Mentha piperita es una fuente industrial de aceite esencial.

Contra dolor de estómago:

preparar una infusión agregando 1 taza (250 mililitros) de agua hirviendo a 10-15 gramos de hojas. Tapar el recipiente, dejar reposar durante 5 minutos y colar (filtrar).

Contra diarrea, flatulencia, indigestión, gripe, resfrío o vómito:

preparar una decocción o infusión con 10-15 gramos de hojas en 1 taza (250 mililitros) de agua. En caso de decocción hervir 5 minutos en recipiente tapado. Para la infusión, agregar el agua hirviendo a los 10-15 gramos de hojas y tapar el recipiente. Dejar reposar durante 5 minutos y colar (filtrar).

En todos los casos, beber 1 taza 2-4 veces al día ó 1 taza en el momento que lo requiera la indicación sintomática35,36.

Ninguna preparación debe guardarse por más de 24 horas, ni fuera de refrigeración.

De acuerdo con la información disponible:

El uso para asma, catarro, gripe, resfrío, diarrea, dolor de estómago, fiebre, flatulencias, indigestión, tos y vómito, se clasifica como REC con base en el empleo significativo tradicional documentado en las encuestas TRAMIL, los estudios de toxicidad y la información científica publicada.

El uso de este recurso en caso de diarrea debe ser considerado como complementario de la terapia de rehidratación oral. En caso de que se observe un deterioro del paciente (deshidratación con lengua seca, pliegue de la piel persistente, oliguria, llanto sin lágrimas), o la diarrea persista por más de 2 días, debe buscar atención médica inmediata.

En caso de que se observe un deterioro del paciente o que el asma, fiebre o vómito persistan por más de 2 días, el dolor de estómago o la indigestión por más de 3 días o el catarro, gripe o resfrío, y la tos por más de 5 días, debe buscar atención médica.

Por el riesgo de asma para la salud, se recomienda una valoración médica inicial. El uso de este recurso puede ser considerado como complementario al tratamiento médico.

El jengibre puede incrementar la biodisponibilidad de la sulfoguanidina, al potenciar su absorción.

Las personas en tratamiento con anticoagulantes orales o antiagregantes plaquetarios deben consultar con su médico antes de proceder a la administración de los preparados que contengan jengibre, ya que pueden incrementar el riesgo de hemorragias14.

En casos de cálculos biliares se debe consultar con el médico previamente a la ingestión de cualquier preparado a base de jengibre15.

No usar durante el embarazo, la lactancia ni en niños menores de 6 años16.

El rizoma de Zingiber officinale constituye un condimento de consumo humano relativamente extendido y es una fuente industrial de aceite esencial.

Para los usos aprobados:

preparar una decocción con 20 gramos de rizoma fresco bien lavado y previamente machacado, en 4 tazas (1 litro) de agua, hervir por 10 minutos en recipiente tapado. Dejar enfriar, colar (filtrar) y beber 1 taza 2 a 4 veces al día.

Ninguna preparación debe guardarse por más de 24 horas, ni fuera de refrigeración.
